PK Aviation offers quality consulting services.
In 1998, following 16 years in the Royal Australian Air Force, Paul was selected by the Royal Air Force of Oman to lead a team to overhaul their antiquated "Cardex" system and assemble a complete computerized solution to modernize the entire Data Control System including Maintenance Planning, Work Pack Creation, Scheduled and Un-Scheduled reporting and Asset Tracking Solutions, to name a few. This project included networking multiple bases with considerations such as data backup and verification, user access protocols, user friendly applications and effective reporting.
Moving from the heat of the desert to the frigid far north of Canada, Paul was employed by various companies to assist in setting up Training Facilities, Aircraft Maintenance Organizations and Quality Management Systems which were successfully inspected by Transport Canada.
During this time, Paul was pivotal in the progression of an operation from small to large aircraft with the introduction of DASH 8 operations. Shortly after, the operation received the first two DHC-5 aircraft to be commercially operated within Canada. Paul´s quality acumen ensured that the operation of these aircraft met regulatory requirements despite difficult and challenging situations relating to component certification issues.
Moving south, Paul was employed by Field Aviation in Calgary as their Avionics Sales and Production Manager where he assisted in securing a $10 Million dollar Avionics upgrade contract for the Canadian Department of Defence.
Relocating back to Australia, Paul currently supports Cobham Australia on a rotational basis in remote location operations in the jungles of Papua New Guinea with two DASH 8 aircraft.
PK Aviation is available world-wide for consulting and contractual support for similar programs as listed above and others including Customer Representative for heavy checks or avionics upgrades.
